• Torque Handles for Flange Assembly
  Norbar’s Model 300 Torque Handle fitted with a 24mm A/F Open ended spanner fitting provides the perfect solution to tightening the 16 bolts in this flange assembly as the tight clearance between the main pipe diameter and the P.C.D of the bolts prevents the use of a conventional socket and torque wrench.

Multiplier Applications

• Kiln Alignment with Handtorque HT11
  Whether .001" or .300" of adjustment is required, the Model HT11 geared multiplier with its 25:1 or 125:1 ratio can easily generate the power required to turn the adjusting screw, even while the kiln is in operation.
    
• Pneutorque Makes Light Work of Lathe Chuck Clamping
  Closing the jaws of large lathe chucks can be a laborious and time consuming job. However, using a Pneutorque pneumatic torque wrench in place of a traditional hand operated wrench solves this problem with speed and perfect torque control. 
   
• PT52 used on Boeing 737 wheel rims
  The Norbar PT52 in use for Boeing 737 wheel rim bolting at Malaysian Airlines, Kuala Lumpur.
  During trials against normal Impact and Impulse guns, it was proven that the PT52 was more consistent in the final torque, and did not damage the wheel rims due to normal vibration contact by the sockets. 
   
• PT52 used at Gas Bottling Plant
  The Norbar PT52 is used for valving and de-valving at the Shell gas bottling plant in Malaysia.  
    
• PTM-72-2000-B-EC Mooring / Umbilical Cable Application
  The PTM tool is being used on the termination flange for 2 to 3 km long multitask umbilical and mooring cables used for subsea oil and gas production systems. 
    
• PT72-2000 on Komatsu Axles
  For this application, two PT72-2000 tools fitted with Annular Transducers are arranged as a twin spindle for front and rear Komatsu Axles.
      
• PT500AUT Trash Ejector Cover Bolts on a Submarine
  TCC Batiray is one of the submarines in the Turkish navy. The trash ejector cover stays open during sailing of the submarine on the water surface but when the sub sinks it is very critical that these bolts are run down rapidly to a pre determined torque. 
    
• PT500 used for Removing and Re-Tensioning Gas Cylinder Valves
  A PT500 single speed is used to remove old valves from gas cylinders for inspection purposes, and then to re-tension new valves between 110 N·m and 240 N·m. 
    
• Pneutorque PT1000 Used on Brake Drum Assembly

• Bridge Assembly using Norbar Pneutorque PT5
  In recent years the increased focus on safety and torque awareness has forced industrial engineers and contractors to take a fresh look at the way in which they work and the methods used.
  In many cases this has meant that contractors are changing from the more traditional style impact wrenches to a more precise, repeatable and user-friendly type of stall tool. 
    
• Pneutorque Facilitates Timing Adjustment of Medium to Large Diesel Engines
  A Norbar Pneutorque PT5 is used for engine timing and it is applied, with well solid special reaction arm, directly into the flywheel. In this way, with very slow rotation, they can generate through spur gear wheels the rotation of the camshaft and, consequently, the linear vertical movement of push-rods.

  Chemical and Petrochemical plants and refineries have many valves which must be opened or closed, and is normally done manually by the operator.   A Pneutorque Model PT13 Manual Two Speed (MTS) is used to torque and undo gland nut of hydraulic cylinders on off-road equipment such as Caterpillar, Komatsu and John Deere.

  Vitas Valves in Italy use a full compliment of Norbar Pneutorque Multipliers for the final assembly of their ’Gate’ and ’Check’ Valves. 
    
• ET 1000 Auto Two Speed used to Raise Irrigation Gates
  An Electrotorque ET1000 Auto two speed is used by Goulburn Murray Water at Lake Mokoan for raising irrigation gates weighing up to 3 tonnes. 
    
• ET 2000 Auto Two Speed used on Below Ground Water Valves
  A Norbar Electrotorque ET2000 Auto two speed tool fitted with a 15" nose extension is used for operating below ground water valves in the Adelaide Metropolitan area by United Water. 
    
• Electrotorque used on Rear Axle Bolts of Earthmoving Vehicle

Torque Measurement Applications 

• Torque Tool Tester
  Coates Hire in Western Australia required a torque testing bench for the hand torque wrenches and pneumatic torque wrenches in their fleet. The solution was the Torque Tool Tester (TTT). 
       
• Universal Joint Test Fixture
  Norbar Australia have designed and built a Universal Joint Test Fixture to be used with a Norbar 2.5 N·m static torque transducer and Pro-Log display instrument. 
    
• Pro-Log and 1500 N·m Rotary to tighten Injection Pump Elements 
  Incorporated into a machine, the Pro-Log used with a 1500 N·m Rotary Transducer is being used to tighten, amongst other things, injection pump elements of Engines.  
    
• Pro-Log and Transducer to test Dynamic Rotational Torque on Pinion Shafts
  A portable testing device has been manufactured using our Pro-Log and Rotary Transducer, to measure the dynamic rotational torque on pinion shafts when manufacturing differentials. This enables them to ensure that the pre-load on the bearing does not create a rotational torque outside the specified 1.5 - 2.1 N·m. 
    
• Norbar Valving Machine Provides Torqueing Solution for BOC Gases
  In a joint effort between BOC Gases and Norbar Torque Tools Australia, a cylinder valving machine has been developed and installed in eight sights around Australia.
  Using the latest in torque measuring technology, Norbar Torque Tools Australia have built a valving machine to overcome the problem of overtorqueing valves into aluminium cylinders. 
    
• ISO 1000 used to Calibrate Torque Tools used on SNECMA Planes
  A modified ISO 1000 with an ETS is used to calibrate the specialised torque tools used to tighten the engine-block of SNECMA planes. 
    
• Monitoring of Remote Pneutorque using Norbar ETS System
  A Norbar ETS (Electronic Transducer System) and a special Rundown Fixture is used to monitor the operation of a remote Pneutorque used to assemble the last stage of the ARIANE 5 rocket.
